![]() ![]() Tolkien’s classic Lord of the Rings trilogy, premiered it’s first two episodes on Thursday to high praise from critics. Multiple new characters found themselves introduced during the show’s initial hours, alongside younger versions of some familiar names. One fresh face, however, was that of Daniel Weyman’s mysterious Stranger, a lumbering giant of a man with strange mystical abilities. The character was shown falling to Middle-earth in a meteor in the series’ pilot. There have been no shortage of theories on who the unnamed person actually is, but one has stood out more than the rest. A popular opinion online says that Weyman is secretly portraying a young Gandalf as he first appears in existence. ![]() When asked about the Gandalf theories, Weyman responded that fans will have to keep watching to find out: According to a recent interview with ET, the actor has known the true identity of the Stranger since he was cast – but he won’t be spilling the beans anytime soon. I would think, hopefully, people will have as much fun watching his story as I had filming it. And I suppose the best thing to say is that while we were working, I, at each point in the story, knew exactly where the character was and who he was and what he was going through. So, from my point of view, it was quite an easy task to follow that through. On the other hand, his co-star, actress Markella Kavenagh, was left just as much in the dark as viewers during the creative process. She explained that she was forced to learn his real identity as filming went on: Kavenagh portrays an adventurous young Harfoot named Nori in the show, and is the one who discovers and helps the Stranger when he crashes to Middle-earth. Despite plenty of evidence pointing to Gandalf eventually making it into MultiVersus, he was nowhere to be seen when the game launched last week, and dataminers have indicated that all references. finding it out week to week. I mean, you’ll see when you watch it why it was also kind of beneficial because of how the Stranger is and how Nor is as well. But yeah, it was an experience. The Appearance of Gandalf Might Not Come to Pass for the Warner Bros Fighting Game. Markella KavenaghĪctress Cynthia Addai-Robinson, who has not yet appeared in the series, chimed into the conversation to add her take as well. Some things would stop Gandalf from getting into Multiversus and it is not a Balrog. She claimed that, in her opinion, there is a real joy in watching a mystery unfold without immediate answers: MultiVersus, the Warner Bros fighting game looks to maintain player traction as it heads into its second week of operations from Open Beta, and. We enjoy all the fan theories and we have those ideas. Come on.But even for some of us, we don’t ultimately know the way in which our characters are going to have these experiences. And the audience will also get to see it as it unfolds as well. This WB platform fighter is real, but it is not a Netherrealm game. We’ll keep you in the loop should we hear anything. So could a Warner Bros fighter be on the horizon? At the moment, there’s no official announcement, so take this rumour with a pinch of salt. It’s also worth noting that Warner Bros recently released Space Jam 2, which saw it crossover many of its properties, so it seems the studio is in that kind of mood. The listing includes use of the term for “downloadable computer game software” and similar. Warner Bros Entertainment recently filed a trademark for something called ‘ Multiversus‘. One aspect of this rumour that gives it some credibility is the potential title. However, Grubb denied this particular aspect and said another studio are working on the project without confirming which one. The original report also claimed that Mortal Kombat developers Netherrealm would take the helm. The report claims that one came from the meme of Shaggy being a potential DLC character in Mortal Kombat 11. Supposedly the game will see characters from various WB-owned properties going toe-to-toe not too dissimilar from the aforementioned Smash Bros or the recent Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.Īllegedly, characters confirmed include Batman, Gandalf from Lord of the Rings, Tom and Jerry and even Shaggy from Scooby Doo. The report comes from Reddit, and has since been corroborated by VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb (as spotted by Video Games Chronicle). ![]() It’s being rumoured that Warner Bros are working on a Smash Bros like plattform-fighter with an all-star cast. ![]()
