![]() ![]() I like the game, but I'm playing it less and less as I get to this area, and the fun goes completely out the window every time, always replaced with anger. The fact that the vast majority of my posts on the forums here have been complaints and/or agitated venting is a red flag for me. Honestly, it's just gotten too bloody irritating. I tend to think most will agree on that one, at least. Even if alot of you may not agree with me on the rest of that stuff. ![]() Also seriously the hitstun shouldnt be there at ANY point in the game. ![]() I'm really starting to understand why there's been so many complaints about this stuff. Seriously, I really do love this game as a whole, but. But there's a difference between "difficult" and "bloody stupid". I absolutely do not want the game as a whole to become easier. I need enough challenge for a game to even hold my attention (with rare exceptions). The high difficulty is one of the reasons I play this genre in the first place. Not every enemy needs to be as tanky as 50 elephants mashed into one.Ĭhallenge and difficulty are just fine. They seem entirely designed for that area. These enemies work better in zone 4, where there are LOTS of walls and corridors. Hell, one turret variant has unavoidable homing missiles! I mean, seriously? The only way to "dodge" those is to hope they crash into a wall before they hit you. I also mean those flying jerks with 5 billion HP. Note that by "snipers" I dont only mean the ones with the red beams that show where they are aiming. Not that I get a chance to aim, what with the BLOODY HITSTUN (seriously, who thought THAT was a good idea?) It seems I need something outright overpowered to do anything against them. Not with the sheer numbers they appear in, and how very little time I have to defeat them before the group overwhelms me. Even with a really strong rapid-firing wand. Here's the thing: Giant, open areas, with LOTS of sniper enemies that absolutely can hit you from offscreen with projectiles literally too fast to dodge, AND other enemies that throw those nasty arcing bolts, all of which appear in large groups, they fly, AND they have enough health to put enemies in Enter the Gungeon to shame. I kinda suspect it's specifically this area that's causing players to think the game is unfair or too punishing. ![]()
